Abstract:
A radio receiving apparatus wherein both the amplitude variation and the phase variation can be compensated for to suppress the image interference in a short time. A correction value calculating part (110) combines a signal, which is obtained by multiplying a first digital signal by an amplitude correction candidate value and then rotating the phase of the resultant signal, with a signal, which is obtained by multiplying a second digital signal by the reciprocal of the amplitude correction candidate value and then subjecting the resultant signal to a phase rotation that has an orthogonal relationship with the phase rotation to which the first digital signal is subjected, to provide a first combined signal. The correction value calculating part (110) then determines an inflection point of the first combined signal, and supplies, as amplitude and phase correction values, the amplitude and phase correction candidate values, which correspond to the inflection point, to a demodulating part (120). The demodulating part (120) compensates the amplitude and phase in accordance with the amplitude and phase correction values to suppress the image interference.
