Abstract:
A power generation unit (210) comprising a diesel generator (211) and a generator radiator (212), a power conversion device (220), and other underfloor equipment (240) are installed underfloor in a vehicle body (100) of a railway vehicle. A heat shielding member (221) is provided on at least a bottom surface of the power conversion device (220) in order to minimize increases in temperature caused by a flow of a high-temperature exhaust gas from the generator radiator (212) to a track surface. This heat shielding member (221) prevents, between the plurality of underfloor equipment installed underfloor, the effects of heat caused by discharge of heat from the underfloor equipment involving a high-temperature exhaust gas.
