Abstract:
The present invention easily realizes depth control when displaying superimposed information by superimposition efficiently using incoming depth information. A video stream obtained by encoding the image data of a wide-view-angle image for each left-eye and right-eye picture, and depth meta-information that includes the position information and representative depth value of a prescribed number of angle regions in the wide-view-angle image for each picture, are received. Left-eye and right-eye display region image data is extracted from the wide-view-angle image for each left-eye and right-eye picture obtained by decoding the video stream, and superimposition information data is outputted by superimposition on this left-eye and right-eye display region image data. When the superimposition information data is superimposed on the left-eye and right-eye display region image data, parallax is added on the basis of the depth meta-information.
