Abstract:
Provided is a rechargeable battery (1), comprising a first electrode plate (10) and a second electrode plate (20), the first electrode plate (10) comprising a plurality of first electrically conductive layers (11) and a first bending part (12), two adjacent first electrically conductive layers (11) being connected by means of the first bending part (12); the second electrode plate (20) comprises a plurality of second electrically conductive layers (21) and a second bending part (22), two adjacent second electrically conductive layers (21) being connected by means of the second bending part (22); the plurality of first electrically conductive layers (11) and the plurality of second electrically conductive layers (21) are arranged stacked alternatingly; observed along a first direction perpendicular to the surface of the first electrically conductive layers (11), the first bending part (12) comprises a first edge (121), the first edge (121) extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, the second bending part (22) comprising a second edge (221), the second edge (221) extending in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction; the second direction is different from the third direction. The invention also relates to a battery module (100); by means of the described rechargeable battery (1), the space utilization inside a battery can be improved, and furthermore, the energy density of the battery itself can be increased.
