Abstract:
Provided is a reciprocating compressor. The reciprocating compressor according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: a case; a driving motor disposed in the case; a rotary shaft connected to the driving motor; a cylinder disposed in the case and forming a compression space; a piston linearly reciprocating in the cylinder according to the rotation of the rotary shaft; a valve assembly including a discharge hole and coupled to the front end of the cylinder; a discharge cover coupled to the outside of the valve assembly; and a main discharge cover disposed between the discharge cover and the valve assembly and opening and closing the discharge hole. The main discharge valve includes a first fixed end that is fixed to the valve assembly and a head part that extends from the first fixed end and opens and closes the discharge hole. The discharge cover includes a stopper extending from the inner surface toward the discharge hole, and the position at which the head part and the stopper come into contact with each other during a discharge cycle may overlap the discharge hole.
