Abstract:

A reference frequency generator device (10) comprises a synchronization circuit (30); a temperature sensor unit (17); and a control unit (11). The synchronization circuit controls the reference frequency signals that a voltage control oscillator (15) outputs, by way of control signals that are obtained on the basis of reference signals. The temperature sensor unit senses the usage temperature of the voltage control oscillator. When it becomes impossible to acquire the reference signals, the control unit controls the voltage control oscillator, carrying out compensation that takes into account the distortion in the characteristic of change over time of the voltage control oscillator, on the basis of the rate of change over time of the temperature slope of the usage temperature, and generating control signals for free-running on the basis of the compensation thus carried out.
