Abstract:
In the present invention, partition walls containing bifurcation regions are formed in a prescribed pattern on one substrate, each region segmented by the partition walls is taken as a cell, and a display medium is positioned within each cell. The other-substrate-side edges of the partition walls are buried in an adhesion layer. In the bifurcation regions of the partition walls, the depth value at which the other-substrate-side edges of the partition walls are buried in the adhesion layer is larger than the depth value in regions other than the bifurcation regions.
