Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reinforcing bar coupler and, more specifically, to a technology relating to a reinforcing bar coupler, wherein the coupler has an improved internal structure for connecting a pair of reinforcing bars to each other, so as to increase the coupling force of the reinforcing bars and thus firmly fix the reinforcing bars, and can prevent the reinforcing bars from being separated from the coupler even when an outwardly pulling force is applied thereto. That is, the present invention comprises: a body having an insertion hole formed through the center thereof so that a reinforcing bar can be inserted therethrough; a multi-stage coupling means which is installed in the insertion hole of the body and in which a plurality of plate shaped coupling members are arranged in a shape in which the members overlap one another in a coupling-direction of the reinforcing bar and thus each of the coupling members independently fixes the reinforcing bar; and a closing cap which is coupled to the end part of the insertion hole of the body to guide the insertion of the reinforcing bar through an inlet hole and prevent the multi-stage coupling means installed therein from escaping.
