Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide the following: a reinforcing fiber base material and a reinforcing fiber laminate, that exhibit a good impregnability by matrix resins, that support high productivities in obtaining fiber-reinforced resin having excellent mechanical properties, e.g., impact resistance, and excellent high-temperature mechanical properties, and that exhibit excellent handling characteristics (particularly shape stability); and a method for producing a reinforcing fiber base material for resin transfer molding. The present invention is a reinforcing fiber base material, in which a resin material is disposed on the surface on at least one side of a reinforcing fiber aggregate selected from any of [1]: reinforcing fiber yarns, [2]: reinforcing fiber yarn groups provided by aligning reinforcing fiber yarns in parallel, and [3]: reinforcing fiber fabrics constituted of [1] or [2], the reinforcing fiber base material for resin transfer molding being characterized in that the resin material is a porous resin material comprising polyamide that contains the structure with general formula (1). (In the formula, R1 and R2 represent hydrogen, a C1-8 alkyl group, or a halogen element, and may be the same or may be different. In the formula, R3 represents a phenylene group or a C1-20 methylene group.)
