Abstract:
A reserved seat management system in which particular seats may be booked by way of season tickets for multiple events and wherein multiple participating season-ticket holders are each associated with uniquely identifiable participant electronic communication means (5, 7) for receiving messages and responding thereto. A computerised server (9) and control communication means (10) are programmed, to send messages to at least selected participant electronic communication means ahead of at least selected events of said multiple events requesting a response from the participating season-ticket holder as regards their intention to utilise the seat for that particular event. Responses received from participant electronic communication means, and also optionally absence of responses, are correlated and the relevant seats are made available to others as reclaimed seats in respect of which tickets are issued that typically override the season ticket in respect of the particular event. The invention also provides a method of increasing attendance at an event in respect of venues utilising a season-ticket system.
