Abstract:
A resin is characterized by containing a phosphorus-containing residue having a bicycloalkyl structure and a specific divalent phenolic residue. The resin has excellent optical characteristics; namely it is colorless and transparent, has a high refractive index and low optical dispersion. An article molded from such a resin is also disclosed.
