Abstract:

Provided is a resin composition that has improved mechanical strength and toughness usable as a bearing member, while maintaining fluidity during injection molding of resin slide bearings, injection-molded resin crown cages and resin seals used in rolling-element bearings, and the like. The provided resin composition, which is used to make injection-molded bearing members, comprises a polycarbodiimide resin blended with either a polyamide resin or a polyester resin. The polyamide resin is polyamide 66 and/or polyamide 11, and the polyester resin is a polytrimethylene terephthalate resin. The polycarbodiimide constitutes between 0.5% and 6% of the weight of the resin composition as a whole. Also provided is a resin crown cage (1) obtained by injection-molding the abovementioned resin composition.
