Abstract:
A resource adjusting method and apparatus, capable of improving the utilization rate of a resource on a server. The method comprises: when creating a first virtual port or deleting a second virtual port on a server, determining a resource adjustment amount, the resource adjustment amount being a value to be adjusted of a resource occupied by a virtual switch vSwitch in the server, the first virtual port being a virtual port to be created between the vSwitch and a first virtual machine, and the second virtual port being a virtual port to be deleted between the vSwitch and a second virtual machine on the server. In this way, the server can adjust, according to the resource adjustment amount, the resource occupied by the vSwitch in the server, and the vSwitch is prevented from occupying the fixed resource of the server, thereby improving the utilization rate of the resource on the server. The method can be applied to a cloud platform.
