Abstract:
A retention attachment that is used for a surgical assistance apparatus having a plurality of linked arms and a holder supported on the linked arms and that allows the holder to retain a surgical instrument, the retention attachment comprising a separator that can be attached to and detached from the holder, and an adaptor that can be attached to and detached from the separator and to which the surgical instrument is attached, wherein the separator is mounted to the holder in one direction and the adaptor is mounted to the separator in a different direction.
