Abstract:
Provided are: a rigid-film-coated object having hydrogen embrittlement resistance and wear resistance and having excellent unsusceptibility to separation; and a machine component and a bearing which include the rigid-film-coated object. The rigid-film-coated object 1 comprises a base 2 and a rigid film 3 for inhibiting hydrogen atoms from infiltrating and diffusing formed on a surface of the base 2, wherein the ratio of the Vickers hardness of the rigid film 3 to the Vickers hardness of the base 2 is 0.90-1.20, the Vickers hardness of the base 2 and the Vickers hardness of the rigid film 3 are 500-1,000 Hv each, and the rigid film 3 is an Ni coating film.
