Abstract:
This ringing suppression circuit (5, 41, 44, 47, 49) is provided in a node (2) provided with a communication circuit (6) which communicates with a another node (2) by transmitting a differential signal over a pair of communication lines (3P, 3N), and is provided with a suppressing unit (7, 42, 45, 48, 50) and a reference potential applying unit (9, 21, 22, 31). By connecting resistance components (10, 11) between the aforementioned pair of communication lines, the suppressing unit performs a suppression operation that suppresses ringing occurring with transmission of the differential signal. The reference voltage applying unit applies, to an intermediary point between the resistance components, a reference voltage corresponding to the midpoint potential of the pair of communication lines during normal operation.
