Abstract:
The present invention relates to a robot arm having a cooling function for enabling the robot arm to operate normally, even in a high temperature work environment such as a fire, by cooling the robot arm, the robot arm comprising: a hydraulic robot arm; an outer skin for surrounding the hydraulic robot arm and being separated by a certain distance from the hydraulic robot arm by using a separation means; a plurality of sensor units installed on the hydraulic robot arm or the outer skin to measure a temperature of the hydraulic robot arm to thereby generate a sensing value; a control unit for receiving the sensing value from the sensor units to compare the sensing value with a previously stored set value and, when it is determined that the sensing value is higher than the set value, outputting a cooling control signal; and a cooling unit for, according to the cooling control signal of the control unit, cooling the temperature of the hydraulic robot arm inside the outer skin to a temperature lower than the set value by using a cooling means which is at least one of cooling air, cooling water, and a rapid coolant.
