Abstract:
A robot device (1) is provided with: a first link (11) which rotates about a first axis (L1); a second link (12) which is supported by a distal end portion of the first link (11) in such a way as to be capable of rotating about a second axis (L2); and a hand portion (15) supported by a distal end portion of the second link (12). If one direction orthogonal to the first axis (L1) is defined as a first orthogonal direction (Y) and a direction orthogonal to both the first axis (L1) and the first orthogonal direction (Y) is defined as a second orthogonal direction (Z), the second axis (L2) extends parallel to the first orthogonal direction (Y) and is offset from the first axis (L1) in the second orthogonal direction (Z).
