Abstract:
Disclosed are a robot for protecting the eyesight of children or babies when executing a projection function and a method for controlling a projector of the robot. The robot for protecting eyesight comprises: the projector for projecting a beam; a shielding area set-up unit for setting-up a shielding area; and a projector control unit for changing the projector into a safe mode when a moving object reaches the shielding area. The shielding area set-up unit can set-up the shielding area for enclosing a region of the projected beam. The shielding area set-up unit can set-up the shielding area according to a direction and a movement speed of the moving object.
