Abstract:
Provided is a rotary damper capable of facilitating miniaturization. A rotary damper (100) is provided with a housing (101). The housing (101) has a bottomed cylindrical housing body (102) having a rotor (120) thereinside, and is closed by a lid (140). An inner chamber (103) in the housing body (102) is partitioned, by a stationary vane (104) and movable vanes (124, 125) provided to the rotor (120), into three, that is, a first individual chamber R1, a second individual chamber R2, and a third individual chamber R3. The rotor (120) has, inside the movable vanes (124, 125), a support cylinder (122) formed to be cylindrical. The lid (140) has a first cylindrical rotor support (141) formed so as to rotatably support the support cylinder (122). The first rotor support (141) supports the support cylinder (122) at the longitudinal center of the movable vanes (124, 125) in the axial direction of the rotor (120).
