Abstract:
A rotary electrical machine according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a rotor 16 that has a shaft 30 and a rotor core 32; a stator 14 that has a stator core 24 disposed surrounding the rotor core and that has a stator coil 28; an outer case 18 that covers the rotor and the stator; a first cooling fan FA that is provided at one end side in the axial direction of the rotor core inside the outer case and that has a maximum diameter larger than the inner diameter of the stator core; a second cooling fan FB that is provided at the other end side in the axial direction of the rotor core inside the outer case and that has a maximum diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the stator core; and a ventilating duct 40 that has a flow channel extending axially along the outer circumference of the stator core and an air outlet 44 which is open to a flow channel CH. The flow channel has a first end 40a connected to the space in the outer case at the first cooling fan side and a second end 40b that is connected to the space in the outer case at the second cooling fan side. The air outlet is positioned displaced to the second end side in the axial direction with respect to the intermediate position between the first end and the second end.
