Abstract:
A rotating camera which consumes less power. The rotating camera is provided with: a torque control unit (53) which designates a drive torque of a stepper motor (M1) for rotating the camera; a rotation position detection unit (3) which detects whether the image-capturing orientation (40) has passed any of the rotation orientations (41); and an abnormality detection unit (52) which detects abnormalities in rotation based on the number of steps of the drive signal supplied to the stepper motor (M1) after a rotation orientation (41) has last been passed. The torque control unit (53) holds the drive torque associated with the rotation area (42) between two rotation orientations (41) and increases the drive torque for every rotation area, based on the detection results of the abnormality detection unit (52).
