Abstract:
A rotating electric machine rotor 20 is provided with: a shaft 21; a small diameter iron core 22 fixed to an outer peripheral surface of the shaft 21; a large diameter iron core 23 which is disposed with a gap from the small diameter iron core 22 in a radial direction orthogonal to an axial center P of the shaft 21, formed in a ring shape by combining a plurality of iron core blocks 26, and disposed at a position having the axial center P commonly with the small diameter iron core 22; and an insulating resin 24 for fixing the small diameter iron core 22 and the large diameter iron core 23. A material of which the large diameter iron core 23 is made is different from a material of which the small diameter iron core 22 is made. The iron loss of the material of which the large diameter iron core 23 is made is smaller than the iron loss of the material of which the small diameter iron core 22 is made.
