Abstract:
This rotating electric machine comprises: a rotor that can rotate about a central axis; and a stator that is located outside the rotor in the radial direction. The rotor has a rotor core having a housing hole and a magnet housed inside the housing hole. The stator has: a stator core having an annular core back surrounding the rotor core and a plurality of teeth extending inward in the radial direction from the core back and disposed side by side in the circumferential direction at intervals; and a plurality of coils attached to the stator core. The housing hole curves in an arc shape protruded inward in the radial direction when viewed in the axial direction, and the magnet is provided in the housing hole and curves in an arc shape extending along the housing hole when viewed in the axial direction. The rotor core has a pair of hollow space portions disposed on mutually opposite sides of the magnet when viewed in the axial direction. A second curved surface of the housing hole on the outside in the radial direction makes closer contact with at least the circumferential direction central side of a fourth curved surface of the magnet on the outside in the radial direction than a circumferential direction end portion thereof, and at least parts of the hollow space portions extend outward in the circumferential direction with respect to the center of a pole.
