Abstract:
The present invention is a rotating electric machine having a brush holder for holding a brush. The rotating electric machine is provided with, on one end side in the axial direction, a first cover through which a rotor shaft passes. In the first cover, a depressed brush holder housing portion for housing the brush holder is provided in the axial direction from the outside of the first cover. The brush holder is disposed so that the distance between the lower surface of the brush holder and the inner peripheral wall of the brush holder housing portion becomes larger than the distance between the portion of the brush holder other than the lower surface thereof and the inner peripheral wall of the brush holder housing portion in the brush holder housing portion.
