Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a motor 1 in which a central portion of each of a stator 3 and a rotor 2 in the axial direction can be cooled by airflow within a gap G without reducing the cooling efficiency. [Solution] The motor 1 comprises the stator 3, the rotor 2, and a housing 52, wherein: the housing 52 comprises one side space 52a, another side space 52b, one side communication hole (52c), and another side communication hole (52d); the one side space 52a and the another side space 52b are in communication with each other via the gap G; the one side communication hole is connected to a first airflow generation device 64; and the another side communication hole is connected to a second airflow generation device 65. The one side communication hole is provided with: a forced inflow hole 52c1 connected to the first airflow generation device 64; and a natural discharge hole 52c2 for naturally discharging air. The another side communication hole is provided with: a forced discharge hole 52d1 connected to the second airflow generation device 65; and a natural intake hole 52d2 for naturally taking in air to the inside of the another side space 52b.
