Abstract:
Provided is a rotation transmission device configured such that a support ring that backs up a thrust bearing can be dismantled without damaging the support ring. In the rotation transmission device, a holder (20) for a two-way clutch (10) in which engagement and disengagement are controlled by an electromagnetic clutch (50) is formed from a control retainer (20A) and a rotation retainer (20B). The rotation retainer (20B) rotatably supports a thrust bearing (30). An engagement recess (60) is provided to a support ring (28) that is press-fit into an input shaft (S1) and that backs up the thrust bearing (30). The rotation transmission device is configured so that when dismantling the support ring (28), a removal tool (T) is engaged with the engagement recess (60) and the support ring (28) is pulled out from the press-fit section of the input shaft (S1) by applying pulling force.
