Title:
ROTAVIRUS GENOTYPE DETECTION METHOD, AND GENE AMPLIFICATION PRIMER SET USED IN SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/071419
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel gene detection primer and a detection means which uses the same, whereby a rotavirus-A genotype can be more accurately detected. Provided are a method for detecting the genotype of a rotavirus, a gene amplification primer set used in said method, and a genotype detection kit. In the method for detecting the genotype of a rotavirus: (A) using positions 174-834 in the base sequence of the VP7 gene segment of a G1 type strain of rotavirus A as a base sequence count reference, a sense primer matching each of 1 to 4 base sequence regions selected from (1) positions 802-834 (corresponding to type G3), (2) positions 747-789 (corresponding to equine-like type G3), (3) positions 603-636 (corresponding to type G9), and (4) positions 666-711 (corresponding to type G12) is used as a basic sense primer for gene amplification; and, (B) using positions 883-1062 as a count reference, an antisense primer matching each of the corresponding base sequence regions is used as a shared antisense primer for gene amplification.
