Abstract:
A rotor (1) comprises a rotating shaft (25), a rotor core (10) comprising a first core part (21) and a second core part (22) positioned adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, and a permanent magnet (20) provided to the first core part (21). The second core part (22) has a virtual magnetic pole (P2) formed therein. The first core part (21) has a void (15) that is formed nearer the inside of the rotor core (10) in the radial direction than the permanent magnet (20). The void (15) has a first portion (15a) that widens in the circumferential direction toward the rotating shaft (25). A radially outward-facing surface (15c), which is positioned furthest inside in the radial direction in the void (15) and defines the void (15), is positioned closer to the inside in the radial direction than a portion (22a) furthest inside in the radial direction in the second core part (22), or alternatively, a boundary between the void (15) and a hollow portion (10c) of the rotor core (10) surrounding the rotor (25) does not exist.
