Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide: a rubber composition which enables the production of a pneumatic tire having excellent wet skid performance, while maintaining good heat generation reducing effect; and a pneumatic tire which uses this rubber composition. A rubber composition according to the present invention contains a white filler and a diene rubber that contains 5-40% by mass of a modified butadiene rubber. The modified butadiene rubber is a modified polymer that is obtained by modifying (A) an unmodified butadiene rubber with (B) a nitrone compound having a carboxy group.
