Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a modified polymer which provides a rubber composition that is greatly reduced in heat generation due to the modification; a rubber composition which contains this modified polymer; and a pneumatic tire which uses this rubber composition. A modified polymer according to the present invention can be obtained by modifying (A) a styrene-conjugated diene copolymer with (B) a nitrone compound. The content of styrene units in the styrene-conjugated diene copolymer (A) is 10% by mass or more; and the ratio of vinyl bonds in all the double bonds contained in the styrene-conjugated diene copolymer (A) is 5 mol% or more.
