Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rubber composition for tires which enables the wet grip performance, fuel-saving performance, and dry handling performance of a tire to be balanced to a high degree. The rubber composition for tires comprises a rubber component, a resin component, and a filler, and is characterized in that the rubber component comprises an isoprene skeleton rubber and a styrene/butadiene rubber, the styrene/butadiene rubber having a glass transition temperature of -40°C or higher, the content of the resin component is 15-50 parts by mass, excluding 15 and 50 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, the resin component has been at least partially hydrogenated and differs from the isoprene skeleton rubber in SP value by 1.40 (cal/cm3)1/2 or less, and the rubber composition satisfies the relationship: mass ratio of (the resin component)/(the isoprene skeleton rubber) ≥ 0.5.
