Abstract:
Provided are: a rubber composition for use in tires, said rubber composition providing a high level of both fuel efficiency and wet-grip performance in addition to good abrasion resistance; and a pneumatic tire using said rubber composition. Said rubber composition contains: a modified styrene-butadiene rubber using a specific nitrogen-containing compound as a monomer; silica; and a specific amount of a diene rubber gel.
