Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a saddle-driven vehicle which has a single-cylinder 4-stroke engine unit installed therein and exhibits a simplified exhaust-device structure and improved purification performance of exhaust gas by a catalyst. When viewing a saddle-driven vehicle (1) in the direction of a straight line (L2) perpendicular to the crank axis line (Cr1) and perpendicular to the cylinder axis line (Cy1), the center of the upstream end (35a) of a muffler (35) is positioned to the left or right of the center of the downstream end (31b) of a cylinder exhaust channel section (31). The center of the downstream end of a main catalyst (39) is positioned to the left or right of the center of the upstream end thereof. The main catalyst (39) is positioned in a manner such that at least a portion thereof overlaps a quadrilateral (S10) surrounded by a side (S11) parallel to the cylinder axis line (Cy1) and a side (S12) parallel to the crank axis line (Cr1) which pass through the downstream end (31b) of the cylinder exhaust channel section (31), and a side (S13) parallel to the cylinder axis line (Cy1) and a side (S14) parallel to the crank axis line (Cr1) which pass through the upstream end (35a) of the muffler (35).
