The present invention provides a safety device for an opening-closing device having improved reliability in terms of the operation of an anti-finger-trapping mechanism.　A safety device 10 for an opening-closing device 1 comprises: an arm member 72 that is configured so as to be rotatable around a rotation axis J1, and has a moving part 721 capable of moving in a first movement direction D1 in which a door body 30 moves and capable of moving in an intersection direction Z that intersects the first movement direction D1 of the door body 30; a stopper part 64 that is struck by the moving part 721 so as to temporarily stop the opening-closing operation of the door body 30 if the door body 30 is moved at a prescribed speed or faster; and a guidance part 65 that guides the moving part 721 in the intersection direction Z after the moving part 721 strikes the stopper part 64 if the door body 30 is moved at the prescribed speed or faster, and guides the moving part 721 in the intersection direction Z in front of the stopper part 64 without stopping the opening-closing operation of the door body 30 if the door body 30 is moved at a speed slower than the prescribed speed. The rotation axis J1 is disposed lower than a strike part 641a of the stopper part 64.
