Abstract:
A safety device 50 is mounted in a robot system 10 having an AGV 20 (traveling device), and a robot 40 mounted on the AGV 20. The safety device 50 comprises: laser sensors 52a, 52b that are attached to the AGV 20, and detect an object existing in a predetermined detection area which is set for the laser sensors 52a, 52b; and a movement restriction unit 106 that, when the existence of an object in the predetermined area is detected by the laser sensors 52a, 52b, restricts movements of the AGV 20 and the robot 40. The laser sensors 52a, 52b change the predetermined detection area, on the basis of a surrounding signal about the surroundings of the AGV 20 and the robot 40 given from outside.
