Title:
SAPONIFIED CROSSLINKED ETHYLENE/VINYL ACETATE COPOLYMER, HOT-MELT ADHESIVE RESIN COMPOSITION, ADHESIVE, AND MOLDED OBJECT THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/138510
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a saponified crosslinked ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer that is for use as a hot-melt adhesive which not only has low-temperature adhesiveness to glass but also suffers no practically problematic change in appearance even when heated or placed in a wet high-temperature environment over a long period and which is excellent in terms of heat resistance, moist-heat resistance, transparency, and adhesiveness. The saponified crosslinked ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer comprises 75.4-94.6 mol% ethylene residue units, 2.2-22.1 mol% vinyl acetate residue units, and 0.5-14.7 mol% vinyl alcohol residue units and has a gel content of 0.001-0.5%. When examined for dynamic viscoelasticity, the saponified copolymer gives elastic moduli at a frequency of 10 Hz, wherein at temperatures higher by 20-50ºC than the melting point measured in accordance with JIS K6924-2, the elastic moduli (E') are 105 Pa or greater and the slope of elastic modulus with respect to temperature (log|ΔE'/ΔT|) is 5 or less. The saponified copolymer has a melt mass flow rate, as measured in accordance with JIS K6924-1, of 0.01-100 g/10 min.
