Title:
SCINTILLATOR AND RADIATION DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/132494
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a scintillator which has a short fluorescence decay time, and in which fluorescence intensity after a time has elapsed is small when irradiated with radiation, and light-transmitting properties are markedly improved. A scintillator represented by general formula (1), the scintillator including Zr, the content of Zr in the scintillator being 1500 mass ppm or greater, and the scintillator being a block of a sintered compact. (1): QxNyO3z (In formula (1): Q includes at least one divalent metal element, and M includes at least Hf; and x, y, and z each independently satisfy the conditions 0.5 ≤ x ≤ 1.5, 0.5 ≤ y ≤ 1.5, and 0.7 ≤ z ≤ 1.5.)
