Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a scroll type fluid machine with which it is possible to improve the sealing properties of an operating chamber. A scroll type compressor is provided with: a fixed scroll 11 having an end plate 15 and a spiral wrap 16 provided upright on the end plate 15; an orbiting scroll 12 having an end plate 20 and a spiral wrap 21 provided upright on the end plate 20; a drive shaft 13 for causing the orbiting scroll 12 to orbit with respect to the fixed scroll 12; a tip seal 29 inserted into a seal groove 28 formed in the wrap 16 having the smaller spiral radius; and a tip seal 31 inserted into a seal groove 30 formed in the wrap 21 having the larger spiral radius. The tip seal 29 has a plurality of inside lips 36 formed on an inside surface 33, and a plurality of outside lips 37 formed on an outside surface 34.
