Abstract:
Provided is a seal ring configured so that foreign matter can be prevented from becoming caught in a sliding section. This seal ring is characterized in that: a pair of recesses 140 extending in a circumferential direction are provided on both sides, in a width direction, of the outer peripheral surface side to form a protrusion 120 between the pair of recesses 140; a plurality of ribs 130 connecting to the protrusion 120 and extending to seal ring side surfaces are provided in the pair of recesses 140 at a distance from each other in the circumferential direction; and, among the plurality of ribs 130, a plurality of ribs 130 arranged facing a region to be sealed are formed such that the side wall surfaces of each of the plurality of ribs 130, the side wall surfaces being located on the upstream side in the direction of rotation of the housing relative to a shaft, comprise sloped surfaces sloped from the upstream side to the downstream side in the relative rotational direction of the housing as the sloped surfaces extend from the protrusion 120 toward the seal ring side surfaces.
