Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention, which is related to a sealing agent used in a nonaqueous electrolyte cell, is to provide a sealing agent composition that can provide a sealing layer that is durable against various electrolytes, has excellent workability when a gasket is coated and dried, and does not easily peel off of the gasket, Furthermore, fewer coating defects are experienced when a gasket is coated with the sealing agent because problems associated with aggregation when the gasket is carried on a parts feeder are overcome, productivity improves because the number of control categories is appreciably reduced, and a nonaqueous electrolyte cell having stable cell performance can be manufactured. [Solution] Provided is a cell sealing agent containing an elastomer selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-propylene copolymer and an ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer, wherein the nonaqueous electrolyte cell sealing agent composition is characterized in that the elastomer has an ethylene content of 40 to 60 percent by mass, and a Mooney viscosity at 125°C of 10 to 55.
