Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enable an impact absorption linear member to start impact absorption operation after the time at which a winding drum starts to rotate relative to a portion, the rotation of which is stopped in an emergency, etc. of the vehicle. A seatbelt retractor is provided with a winding drum on which webbing is wound, a ratchet gear which serves as a rotation restriction member switched between a state in which the rotation restriction member can rotate and a state in which the rotation restriction member is restricted from rotating, an intermediate rotation member which can rotate relative to both the winding drum and the ratchet gear, and a wire which has one end side attached to the intermediate rotation member and the other end side attached to the winding drum (or the ratchet gear). One end of the wire is an affixed end, and the other end of the wire can be pulled out. The ratchet gear (or the winding drum) is provided with a stopper section which, when the intermediate rotation member is relatively rotated a predetermined amount, makes contact with the intermediate rotation member to restrict the relative rotation of the intermediate rotation member.
