Abstract:

Disclosed are a secondary battery capable of improving the safety of the battery by using a hardened polymer filler and a method for manufacturing the same. The method for manufacturing the secondary battery, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: adding polymer particles to an electrolyte, and preparing a polymer slurry; injecting the polymer slurry into a battery case having an electrode assembly accommodated therein; converting the polymer slurry into a polymer solution by heating the battery case; and hardening the polymer solution by cooling the battery case.
