Abstract:
Provided is a secondary battery comprising an electrode assembly containing a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator disposed therebetween, the secondary battery having an electrolyte sealed in an exterior body. This secondary battery is configured such that the electrode assembly has positive electrode and negative electrode current collector tabs protruding from the same end surface of the electrode assembly and, in a plan view of the electrode assembly, the positive electrode and negative electrode current collector tabs are each positioned at different distances from the central axis extending along the direction in which the positive electrode and negative electrode current collector tabs protrude. In a plan view of the electrode assembly, the positive electrode and negative electrode current collector tabs are each either an outer side current collector tab that is relatively farther from the central axis or an inner side current collector tab that is relatively closer to the central axis. The length dimension of the outer side current collector tab is greater than the length dimension of the inner side current collector tab, and the positive electrode and negative electrode current collector tabs have curved shapes.
