Abstract:
Provided is a secondary battery: which comprises an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator disposed therebetween; and in which an electrolyte is sealed in an outer package. This secondary battery has a spacer positioned between the electrode assembly and the outer package. The electrode assembly is formed as a result of having positive electrode and negative electrode current-collector tabs that protrude from the same end surface of the electrode assembly. The spacer is positioned between the outer package and the electrode assembly end surface from which the current collector tabs protrude, and as a result thereof, the positive electrode and/or negative electrode current-collector tab has a bent shape between the electrode assembly and the spacer.
