Abstract:
A selective sound attenuation device and a noise-cancelling earplug having the same. A knob installation recess (101) is arranged at an outer-side end of a plug body (1). A conduction cavity (102) is formed inside the plug body (1). The conduction cavity (102) is arranged behind the knob installation recess (101). The conduction cavity (102) has a cylindrical or an inverted conical shape. A sound input hole (104) is arranged at a side wall of an outer-side end of the conduction cavity (102). The sound input hole (104) is in communication with the conduction cavity (102). A plug rod (2) is inserted into and bonded to the conduction cavity (102). The plug rod (2) has a cylindrical or a conical shape. A sound adjustment cavity (103) is arranged at an inner-side end of the plug body (1). A plug cover (4) is provided at an end portion of the inner-side end of the plug body (1). A sound adjustment pad (3) is fixed between the plug cover (4) and the sound adjustment cavity (103). A sound input switch knob (5) is rotatably inserted into the conduction cavity (102). A hole (201) is formed on and extends through an outer surface of the plug rod (2) in an axial direction. The hole (201) on the outer surface of the plug rod (2) and an inner surface of the conduction cavity (102) together form a noise-suppressing cavity (6). A sound output hole (401) is formed at the plug cover (4). The earplug can cut out hazardous noise while maintaining the intensity of the required portion of sound to be within a reasonable range audible to a user.
