Abstract:
A sensor-equipped axle unit integral with an in-wheel motor, with which control
of vehicle body attitude stability of an automobile driven by a motor can be accurately
performed. This is achieved by highly sensitively measuring forces directed
in the three axis directions perpendicular to each other and acting from a contact
point between a drive wheel and a road surface, with the force measurement based
on conditions of a structural element relating to a stop of drive of the automobile.
A hub bearing (A), an electric motor (B), a reduction gear (C), and a brake (D)
are coaxially arranged on the center axis (O) of the drive wheel (70). The axle
unit has sensors (80, 81, 82) for measuring forces (Fx, Fy, Fz) directed in the
three axis directions perpendicular to each other and acting from a contact point
between the drive wheel and the road surface, where the force measurement is based
on conditions of at least one structural element out of hub bearing (A), an electric
motor (B), a reduction gear (C), and a brake (D). The result of the measurement
is used for control of a suspension, an ABS, etc.
