Abstract:
A separation measurement device according to one embodiment of the present invention measures separation between a subject and surrounding objects present in the surroundings of the subject on the basis of a point cloud including position information and height information, the point cloud being acquired by measuring the subject and the surrounding objects, said separation measurement device comprising a refining unit, a superposition unit, a point cloud elimination unit, and a separation measurement unit. The refining unit receives input of a point cloud and a subject model generated from the point cloud, and refines a separation measurement range to a designated range. The superposition unit superposes the model and the point cloud of the refined measurement range. The point cloud elimination unit deems a point cloud present inside the model according to the superposition to be outside of the measurement subject, and deletes said point cloud. The separation measurement unit calculates the distance between the model and the point cloud after deletion, thereby measuring the separation between the subject and the surrounding objects.
