Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve redundancy in process units, using a server system having a plurality of servers. [Solution] A first server and a second server execute a plurality of processes in parallel. First server processes (B1-1, B2-1, Br-1) are operating processes and second server processes (B1-2, B2-2, Br-2) are standby processes. The operating processes regularly send operation notifications that notify normal operation, to the standby processes. If operation notifications are no longer received from the operating processes, the standby processes switch their own operation mode from standby mode to operate mode and start providing the services for those processes. The switching of these processes occur in process units, not server units.
