Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enable the creation of a variety of designs of embroidery patterns when sewing a combination of a plurality of embroidery patterns. A control device (25) executes processing for creating combined embroidery patterns by means of a pattern data processing program. A user operates a touch panel (17) to select one main piece of pattern data (main data) from among all pattern data and specify a type (for example, "frame") of additional pattern data (sub-data) to be combined therewith. Then, the control device (25) randomly extracts a plurality of pieces of subdata that can be combined with the main data, produces a plurality of images of combined embroidery patterns created by combining each of a plurality of embroidery patterns corresponding to the plurality of pieces of subdata with the embroidery pattern corresponding to the main data, and displays the produced combined embroidery pattern images on an LCD (16) as thumbnail images.
